Back road

18x24
oil on linen

Back to thinking of snow. Although we don't get a lot the little we do gives way to nice color shifts and abstract compositions. It's just to much fun and challenging to pass buy.I want to explore more texture and volume with this painting by thick and thin applications and push myself out of my comfort zone. The whole proses I hope will bring more vocabulary to an ever growing voice. From the above painting I felt like I got a small taste of what I was after and will tackle several with this goal in mind.

Saw this on BoldBrush. It's fantastic. Great shapes and realistic movement in the landscape and bold and concise brushwork!!
