Bounty and Community

"Last one to graze"
12x24 Oil on linen

Over this last year I was invited to participate in the  Bounty and Community invitational  at OSU. I am very pleased to have been selected to show in this long standing event. The painting above was based on a strong sense of light and a glimpse rather than a hero painting of just livestock .

Hi Mike,
This is about as good as a landscape painting can get. The sense of deep space, the beautifully painted cow and the light are just about perfect.
Now, I don't know if this is how you see the work, but after giving it a good, long look, I really think it's impressive. More importantly, it makes me feel something--and that's special.
Congratulations of being selected for the show.
Have a nice weekend.
Sincerely,
Gary.
